We would like to invite You, as one of 40 musicians between 18 – 30 years from all over the world, to participate in the second edition of Ethno Bahia, for the period from Dezember 26, 2019 to January 04, 2020, which will happen in the village Diogo, in the region, called “Linha Verde”, 90 km from Salvador – Bahia.

The unique project Ethno World has an international history, promoted by the worldwide organisation Jeunesses Musicales Internationales that is growing all over the world and seeks to mediate the learning of songs of oral tradition, folk, popular music and world music among adolescents and young people from all regions, ethnicities and musical cultures of the world. Ethno World’s teaching-learning methodology in music can be considered unique in the practical mediation of the most diverse styles, rhythms and musical genres of the world, that combine with the most popular musical practices in Brazil and Latin America.

Ethno Bahia happened the first time in a deep process of living together and teaching-learning among 40 participants from all over the world for 10 days at the Casa do Samba in Santo Amaro – Bahia, from 29 of August till 6 of September 2018. The deadline for application has been extended up to 20 of november 2019!!! 

Fees include workshops, food, lodging and transfer to the final concert:

• 300 euro from European and developed countries
• 100 euro (400 reais) for Brazilian, Latin America and countries in development
• 200 euro from other countries, contact us in special cases!

The musicians selected for Ethno Bahia 2019 will receive by email a link to pay the inscription fee by Pay Pal – The inscription will be effective, only if proved by payment of the fee and a copy of airline tickets (or equivalent).

Ethno Bahia 2019 will happen from 26 of december 2019 till 4 of january 2020 in the beautiful Brazilian summer and landscape of Bahia north coast region! We will be in the protected area of dunes, beach, bosques and river from the little town of Diogo in the Pousada Vila Flor, look here – Vila Flor em Diogo – Bahia
